Happy New Year!

It's not us! Really! Before you write to us about login problems, please make sure it's really a problem. Almost all problems logging in to the SimsHost sites come from two common sources:

  1. Bad password cached in your web browser. Click here to read our FAQ about that.

  2. A user created more than one account, paid for one of them, and is trying to log in to an inactive account. To check that, try to log in by clicking on the link to Maintain Your Account. If your login fails, you'll bounce to a screen with the words "Forgot your password?" at the top. Enter your email address and click on "Get My Username From My Email Address". If the system finds more than one account with your email address, it will send you a note about it.

Have you moved? Changed your email address? Make sure your SimsHost account information is up to date! That's important because this is how we make sure you're you if you have any problems with your account. To check and update your account information, click on the link to Maintain Your Account.

One word: Don't. Several subscribers have reported problems with third-party download managers. These are programs that save up your downloads and try to download them all at once later in the day. If you have one of these, please turn it off when visiting the SimsHost sites. We haven't found any of them that are worth a flip, and all of them will cause problems with your downloading.

The download managers that come with Internet Explorer and Netscape work great. Use 'em.

Visit the Valentine's Day Treasure Hunt starting page for your first clue!

Don't forget to stop in at Ye Olde Town Inn for a hint if you get stuck! We have a special forum for Treasure Hunters!

The popular games are still on-going at Killersims! You can win free downloads!

Now let's do the dailies...
------------------------------------

Candace's Sim Bazaar has another big update! Candy has produced a "cowboy bedroom and bath" for your Sim children, including two free tapestries! Devil created the Calming Calla Lily outdoor set and a freebie makeover. Sandy whipped up some wallpaper to match the cowboy set and an upcoming set by Devil, and added another fun nautical theme set.

The first White Plank set at CallistaWolf's Sim Lair -- this one is Teal Atlantic, a kitchen set, and more to come!

Visit the Annex at Historic Sim Houses for a virtual trip to... Gigi's house! Yes, your Sims can live in a model of the webmistress's own house!

------------------------------------

Your Sims can take a safari at Down Home Sims without even leaving home! Jo and Rebecca have a wild new den set in colors reminiscent of the African savannah, with an elephant border giving the finishing touch.

Sim City Gallery has an interesting monochomatic Black Kitchen set with coordinating wallpaper and flooring. New exterior walls and floors complete this update!

Debby Sims has a huge update! An entire set for Downtown, the "Wet Seal Bar," as well as walls, floors, sculptures and windchimes!

To celebrate 100,000 visitors to Simultaneous Design, Ayoe has created twelve new outfits, based on designs by Baby Phat!

Carrot Stuff has added the "Soft Petal Bathroom Collection" to take care of all your Sims' hygiene and bladder needs in style!

------------------------------------

Sim City Gallery has two new cat paintings, and seven floral "quad groups," which are a set of four paintings which fill two adjoining wall sections.

Ship ahoy! Check out the new "Skipper Plank" living room set at CallistaWolf's Sim Lair!

Killersims celebrates six million visitors! Check out the site to get detail on how to win a whole year's subscription to SimsHost (including KillerSims and fifty other great sites), read "Sim Lane Episode 4," check out information on the new Superstar expansion pack, listen to Radio Simz Underground, link up with other The Sims Online players, watch a little KSIMS TV, or win some free downloads with the Lost and Found or Bingo! games! (Wow, what a sentence!)

Now for the new downloads: Remember Mrs. Crumblebottom from downtown? Now she's got her own clothing line! Your Sims will sleep like babies in the new "Bavarian Antique Bed." Snag an updated Egg Chair for a retro look with today's conveniences! The new Blunda chairs will keep your Sims sitting pretty! The Cheatz and CD Key Retriever programs are still available!

------------------------------------

The "White Plank" remodel moves to the bathroom at CallistaWolf's Sim Lair! The "Lemon Plank" set will start your Simmies' day with style!

Visit Candace's Sim Bazaar for another big update! Devil created a "Flight of Fancy" bedroom set with a freebie painting. Using the butterfly detail from Devil's set, Candy was inspired to create a pale blue bedroom set for Sim girls, with a freebie rug and tapestry. Sandy has quite a mixed bag -- new doors, doors for the Calla Lily set, a tile wall set, and tile floors galore!

Sim City Gallery updates again, with two girls' swimsuits (Vacation required), three boys' faces, and four girls' faces. They're adorable!

Historic Sim Houses goes back to the post-Civil War period with "Civil War Reconstruction House, 1868" by Gigi!
