Spotlight on Yesterday's Treasures

This week we're shining the spotlight on one of Yesterday's Treasures, Sims... to go! This is one of the SimsHost founding sites, opening on June 1, 2002. Over the course of the next year, STG built up a very large collection of furniture and furnishings for every room in the house. The site also features Elaine's skins for women and Llama Donna's walls and skins.

The webmaster had planned to continue to add things to the site, but Real Life was of a different opinion. Nevertheless, she wanted her collection to be available to you for as long as you want to download things, and -- as with all of the Yesterday's Treasures sites -- SimsHost is pleased to be able to keep the site on line. The wonderful collection of innovative designs remains popular even today.

Trying Clicking on Those Pictures

We added a new feature this week. When a site's banner appears in the upper right-hand corner of the SimsHost home page, you can click on the image to go directly to that site!

We know that we host so many sites with so much stuff for The Sims that it's easy to get lost and overlook some sites that you want to visit, so we hope this helps!

This feature was inspired by KSIMS TV, which has continued to expand with more people working on stories for the 24 channels they are broadcasting. Keep an eye on the program guides for the channels on KSIMS TV for upcoming events; or better yet, join the KSIMS TV Couch Potatoes group on Yahoo to find out when people plan to broadcast stories. Still the Biggest, Still the Best

As we approach our second anniversary we thought you would like to know that the sites hosted by SimsHost taken collectively are still by far the largest site for The Sims in the world. Well, in all ways but one: We still have the lowest subscription cost of any site.

Continuing subscribers are paying only $2.00 a month (plus about a tenth of a penny per download on the average). That's about a third the cost of a typical stand-alone subscription site, for access to a hundred times as many downloads. We are pleased and proud to be able to do this while allowing each site to retain its own individual personality, even as SimsHost continues to grow.

The Sim Republic updates with a new furniture section! Today's update includes several new paintings, 3 loveseats, a beautiful new kitchen set, and a living room set featuring soft leather and coordinating lamps and coffee table.

Similarity Sims updates with two complete sets -- a blue bathroom set and a modern bedroom set in gold and white.

The Sim Republic updates with a new collection of popular art paintings featuring nautical themes, and 10 new sinks in various colors to coordinate with your sims' home decor. The site also fixed a problem with some of the download links.

Whether it's inside or out, at Studio Town or on Vacation, your sims will enjoy eating at this casual Cafe from Debby Sims.

At Lone Star Sims, Boots has made a Hacked Makin' Magic Bookcase that is full of surprises for your Sims to xperience. It is so much fun and is part of her Magic Cottage Collection. Also, Victoria -- Mayor of the Town -- made a fantastic Southwestern Teal Kitchen Set. The colors are so rich. Boots -- the Rustler -- also made some beautiful Pink Marble Counters and a Wine Bar to match. The wine bar is hacked and full of surprises!
