The Sims 2 Patch is Here! Get Your Game Ready Before You Install It!

This week Electronic Arts released the first patch for The Sims 2. This is important: Before you install the patch, remove any hacked objects and fan-created patches from your game! See the discussions in the SimsHost Hullabaloo for more about it.

If you are using the nifty Patcher from KILLERSIMS get version 2.02, released this week. Patcher v 2.02 is compatible with The Sims, The Sims 2, and The Sims 2 with the EA patch installed. It handles many enhancements to the games as well as taking care of the noisome blur.

When you use the KILLERSIMS Patcher, remember that if the box is checked, the blur is on and if the box is not checked, the blur is removed. So if you want to see your sims nekkid, uncheck the boxes.

The Only Game In Town

Just for grins: Did you know that in The Sims 2, they always play the same game of chess? Is anyone other than Greg both nerdy enough and sims-obsessed enough to notice?

Well, they do! The game they play even has a name! At least through the first six moves, it's the Panov-Botvinnik Attack to the Caro-Kann Defence, Variation I-A-1-a. But of course you already new that!

(Yes, that is Gregsim as a young man, getting shellacked by one of the little girls in the neighborhood. He should have known better! Chess is like a drug to him; he has to avert his eyes every time he passes a chessboard. Don't worry; in three more moves he'll suddenly remember that he has to rush home to rearrange his sock drawer and use his patented Patzer Variation on the Earthquake Defence!)

Patcher and NudezPatcher 2.02 released are available now! This version is compatible with The Sims, The Sims 2, and the The Sims 2 with the November 30 patch from Electronic Arts. To find the Patcher, go to the Software Section on the 9th floor of KILLERSIMS and look for this icon scrolling by at the bottom of the page: . When you see the icon, click on it and you will be taken to the dowload page. Get version 1.04 as well as version 2.02. Install version 1.04 first and then replace the file name Patcher.exe with version 2.02.
