Happy Birthday to Us!

Yesterday, June 1, 2005, was SimsHost's third anniversary! Three years ago we opened our doors with two dozen founding sites. During the preceding year, most of the great Sims sites had been driven off the net by rising hosting costs. We were hosting several free sites on the Moon Sims server (and still do), but our own resources were totally tapped out.

That's when we decided that if we couldn't afford to host any more free sites, we could at least endeavor to hold the line on subscriber costs. At that time there were only two subscription sites on the net. We had hoped that by offering free hosting on a modestly priced subscriber-supported service we could alleviate the proliferation of "pay" sites that many people feared. That plan didn't turn out as well as we had hoped and we have had to adjust our design to changing conditions in the Sims community, but nevertheless, SimsHost has had a terrific first three years and we look forward to many more!

We are happy that we have been able to bring you the best of The Sims and The Sims 2 sites for the past three years and look forward to continuing to do this for as long as people play The Sims! To all of those who have supported SimsHost during these three fantastic years, you have our heartfelt thanks!

The Big Brick House

A brand new back to the basic brick house! The 1st level has 4 rooms and the garage. On the 2nd level are 5 rooms, including the decorated kitchen. There are 6 rooms on the 3rd floor. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool, hot tub, and swing set; all included. The cars are not included, but you can download them from The Sim Republic. You'll find this house on page 6.

This lovely new home features a brick veneer accented by light siding. Level 1 has 3 rooms in addition to the garage. On level 2, you will enjoy 3 rooms and the hallway, with a wrap-around deck that features a fireplace and outdoor seating. And there are 7 rooms on level 3. The bathrooms are fully decorated. The hot tub, swimming pool, security systems, and lights are all included. The cars not included but you can get them at The Sim Republic. This house is on page 6.
