Basements in The Sims 2 There's plenty of room for a pool in the basement.

Do you wish you could fit a swimming pool into that little 2x2 lot? You can! Build it in the basement!

You can quickly and easily build a basement for any house in The Sims 2, and swimming pools--which must be built in the ground--can go there. To learn how to do this, see the topics at the SimsHost Hullabaloo about Basements Quick and Easy and More On Basements. To make things even easier you can get the 16 Stripes Wall from this message in the More On Basements topic.

People might be born with very light skin, but often the sun is of a different opinion. Inga Thonnsdotter demonstrates this solar phenomenon in this topic in the Hullabaloo, where you can read her story and download her skin.

Since she is new to the idea of tanning on the beach, Inga got a little carried away with the sun block on her neck and shoulders.

Be sure to read the notes and look at the screen shots before downloading so that you'll know what you're getting.

Today I updated with a community lot, Java House! It's a great place to take your sims to hang out on a hot summer day.

There is a pool room, chess patio, outdoor patio, and an entertainment stage. There are 17 new items exclusive to the Java House. You can find the Java House, under Themes, Summer.

Hope you enjoy it!

As its name implies, this is a completely empty 2x2 lot--no house, no sims, no hacks, no nuttin'. You can build really nice houses on this smallest of lots and it saves a tremendous amount of street frontage in your neighborhood.

You can download the lot from this topic at the Hullabaloo. 613 KB.

Sim House Limbo
How low can you go?

The challenge is to build the least expensive house that two sims can comfortably live in. Read the rules and upload your screen shots to this topic at the Hullabaloo!

(Now you see why we needed that 2x2 empty lot!)

After a delightful day of toasting her buns on the warm sands of Waikiki, Inga likes to cover up with a simple pair of stretchy knit shorts. They're just the right thing when don't want to get dressed but you have to get dressed anyway.

You can download Inga's shorts from this topic at the Hullabaloo.

Inga's favorite T-shirt is from the Files section of the SimsHost Yahoo Group. Look in the 3rd Anniversary Gifts folder.

See the article about Fun With Tan Lines for Inga's tanned light skin tone.

A new set the 4th of July objects were uploaded today at Yuppie Sims. This set features balloons, a buffet table all decked out for the holiday and some fun floating beach balls, inner tubes and toy boats for your lakes and ponds. Floating toys can also be used in pools using the "moveobjects on" cheat.

SimsHost, the largest Sims site in the world You can tell I've had my Smart Milk because I subscribe to SimsHost!

With your one SimsHost account, you support the hosting costs for all the sites we host and enjoy new additions that continue to surpass all the stand-alone subscription sites combined with your one low-cost subscription to SimsHost! That's why we created SimsHost in June 2002 when we ran out resources to host sites for free on the Moon Sims server, and it's working great!

More than two years ago we opened with two dozen founding sites. On that day, SimsHost instantaneously became by far the largest Sims site in the world offering the best value in subscription sites.

Today we host more than seventy fantastic sites, the sites are bigger, and the service just keeps getting better! Taken collectively, the SimsHosted sites are still the largest site the The Sims in the world, yet we continue to be able to bring all these sites to you at a cost that's half what you have to pay for the least expensive stand-alone sites.

Our heartfelt thanks to all our subscribers, webmasters, and artists for making 2004 such a wonderful year! We will continue to endeavor to make the next year even better for you!
